WEDNESDAY NIGHT at COTE-St LUC BBQ

The first Wednesday of the month, has become a very popular one. One of the many reasons why this has happened is due to the Owner of the Cote St-Luc B.B.Q. Mr. Alain Camus. What he has done to make us all happy, besides serving us a delicious BBQ chicken, has been the addition of two large TV’s one in each corner of the dining area where we meet. This gives us the opportunity to review some of the clubs videos.

Parking for our precious cars is without question the best of all the places I have been for club meetings. The cars surround the restaurant. We can see them from our tables.

After we fill ourselves, we head outside to the parking area and talk, I know you have a hard time to believe this, but we talk cars. Look at the cars, open the bonnets, open the doors and look inside while the owners explain some of the special things about his or her car.

A fun thing happened the Wednesday of June 6th, 2000. Daniel with his Messerschmitt, was giving tours at $5.00 a ride. As you all know Daniel is in the process of restoring his Citroën Cabriolet, and the paint job was done by no other Mr. Richard Grenon, do I have to say more, why the tours. We all stood in line and as you can see by the photos on their arrivals all of the passengers were very happy. Our Prominent Editor, our illustrious, world renowned and Citroën expert, Richard, and last but not least, a fanatic of the Deux Chevaux, who thought that the Deux Chevaux was about as small as you can get for a family car. Low and behold the Messerschmitt. As you can see by the picture Michel is amazed.

Now, for the last picture of the Messerschmitt going down Jean Talon with a passenger in the back seat. I do not know who it was, as I was leaving to go back home, but was told later that he was so happy that Daniel had a port a potty in the Messerschmitt, but still enjoyed the ride.

Jokes apart, this is one beautiful little car and Daniel should be congratulated for the work he has put into this car to get these results.

I am not sure if Daniel will be coming back to the B.B.Q. as he did very well that night.

Another site that was worth seeing, was Richard and his wife Louise taking a test-drive in the Denis's Citroën 2CV "Fourgonnette" (panel). Richard took advantage of having the panel truck to deliver car parts to his friends.
