THE GRAND GALA INTERNATIONAL DE L'AUTOMOBILE

While being on the subject of outings, this was also a good one. The Grand Gala International de L’Automobile held May 27, 2000 at the Old Port of Montreal.

The organization by Denis Bergeron, was a first class one. Over 317 cars showed up. I was told that over 50,000 visitors came to see the cars, even though the weather was quiet cold.

All the clubs were there. The VEA, Corvette, Mustangs, Ferrari, Porsche, Thunderbirds, and many others, there was something there for every taste.

For those members that don’t get a chance to see some of our member’s cars, you had a chance to see many of them there. As you can see by the pictures, we have a variety of makes, which makes our club what it is today. The best club in the world.

The last picture was taken for one reason, I wanted a picture of Gerard Cigar, but as you can see, he was very busy giving instructions to Denis Bergeron the organizer, and whatever instructions that was, made Denis laugh.

A plea to our members, we have over 300 cars in the club, but we only see 20 or 30 of them, and many times they are the same members. Bring your car to one activity, I know you will enjoy it, there is nothing like it.
