PRESIDENT'S WORD
APRIL 2003

Sooner than later! All indications are having us believe that the dreadful Quebec winter will be nothing more than a distant memory, which we so desperately want to forget. The New Year got off to a rather sad start, with the passing of two of our members, Mr. Ken Carlton and Mr. Vic Serada (see glove box on page 22).

Our club however, got the New Year off to a better start with our traditional evening at Kebecson, our (just as popular) morning at Classic Euro Auto (see page ), and our annual banquet, which this year is being organized by Bernardo.
Covered in this issue, is the gathering of about a dozen club members at the Salon Retromobile in Paris this February, where the VEA was honored at the "Les Chevrons de l'Amitié" stand. The enthusiasm of these members speaks volumes about the impact and quality of this French "Mecca" of the collector car world. As well, one of our club members, is its' honorary president, after having been (very simply) president.

In closing, you will find in the glove box, the summary of our annual general assembly: in short, a clean bill of health for your club.
And now, with the arrival of spring, so too begins our ritual of pre-season prepping of our cherished vintage treasures. For you see, like vintage wine or ripened cheese, our cars only get better with every passing season.

VEAhemently yours!
