PRESIDENT'S WORD
OCTOBER 2003
And yet again, another summer has come to pass. But although,
satisfaction (although not guaranteed) was the order of the
day for most activities, the same could not be said of our
July picnic outing which (as per tradition) fell victim to
our meteorological foe
rain.
As for the rest of our escapades; the Grande Ballade was
a smashing success (see article by Bob Forest on page 14),
as was our apple picking outing. And along with their canine
accompaniment, our hosts Sylvie and André chose the
perfect weather for such an outing. You can read all about
it in the January edition of the Autosiaste.
As some of you may already know, the time for your annual
membership renewal is upon us, and God only knows how we
on the Board sound like broken records regarding this (sometimes
discouraging) issue. Rather than nag, we invite you to read
the details in the Glovebox on page 22.
In the previous Autosiaste, I made mention that 2004 would
mark the VEA's 30th anniversary, and that at the same time,
we wished to conduct a survey regarding how to celebrate
this festive occasion.
To our cyber-connected members, a survey
has been sent to you via the Net. As for
those of you who prefer a more traditional means of communication,
the same survey will be found in the VEA Glovebox on page
22. We hope that you will all take the time to give us your
feedback; after all...this is your club!
VEAhemently yours!
